Should anyone mourn Mark Salling?

My 11-year-old daughter adores "GLEE." She LOVES it. The characters are almost like friends to her. I was not willing to take that way from her. So I didn't tell her about the charges against actor Mark Salling. Now he's dead by his own hand, so there was no avoiding it.
